South Africa

Truly the flagship of the South African national parks, Kruger is home to an impressive number of species: 336 trees, 49 fish, 34 amphibians, 114 reptiles, 507 birds and 147 mammals. Man's interaction with the loved environment over many centuries - from bushman rock paintings to majestic archaeological sites like Masorini and Thulamela - is very evident in the Kruger National Park. These treasures represent the cultures, persons and events that played a role in the history of the Kruger National Park and are conserved along with the park's natural assets.

CUISINE AND THE BUSH DINING EXPERIENCE

At Jock we offer an African cuisine which incorporates an abundance of flavours accumulated on the routes followed by sir Percy Fitzpatrick.

The chef and his dedicated team conjure up dishes inspired by this unique location, as well as all of the influences that have passed through it at one time or another.

From the primal flavours of wild game and local herbs picked from the surrounding bushveld to the spicy tastes of visiting Arab traders, and traditional dishes introduced by European gold miners – guests can take their taste buds on a true African safari.

The cuisine is presented in a variety of locations. From the elegant dining room, to private dining in your suite or to a boma style barbeque adventure under the panorama of the African night.
