Inspired by the timeless beauty of the Atlantic coast, The Oitavos seeks to embrace rather than compete with nature. Its bold design, sleek lines and elegantly simple interiors focus attention outwards – on the historical and natural elements of the surrounding landscape and the drama and romance of the Ocean. The blue of the sea and sky combine with the yellows and greens of the wild flowers and trees, to touch your
senses, while contemporary sculpture and paintings by Portuguese artists provide an extra flavour.
The Oitavos has 142 guest rooms, all of which have a private balcony with views of the ocean or golf course. There are 16 suites which are all large and spacious, and enjoy an area of at least 64 square metres.
In addition the hotel offers an outdoor seawater swimming pool plus conference facilities for 300 people with separate access Business Centre and Fitness Centre. There is also underground parking for 150 vehicles.
The Restaurants
The Oitavos offers a gastronomic experience based on authentic Portuguese cuisine. Four distinct and innovative venues provide a variety of memorable dining experiences. The Ipsylon Restaurant has a distinct culinary offering in which seafood and fish take centre stage. There is a set menu that varies on a daily basis in a sequence of delicious dishes served with a specific wine combination. The Ipsylon Lounge is a large, informal and relaxing area where to enjoy the finest cocktails, a huge selection of appetizers and tasty tapas, or just to ask for a delicious “Tea
and scones”. The Atlântico Pool Bar is a typical open-air pool-side eatery with a good humoured ambiance where light meals and varied drinks are served. Les Herbes is an indoor/outdoor dining area with an aromatic herb garden that offer guests
an excellent buffet breakfast as well as all kind of meals to groups and event clients.
Spa
The Spa at The Oitavos is being developed as a full-service destination spa offering natural and organic treatment products and a holistic approach to wellness. Developed around the energy and drama that is the Atlantic coast, our uniquely contemporary spa experiences will energise the mind, revitalise the body, and soothe the soul.
Golf
Within the property, alongside the hotel is the Oitavos Dunes golf course, considered last year as the 88th Best Golf Course in the World by the American Golf Magazine. Guests can also take advantage of the Health and Racquet Club and the Riding Centre both inside Quinta da Marinha.
