Caribbean- Dominican Republic

In 1969, a group of American investors acquired a 58-million square meter lot equivalent to 48 square kilometers of pure jungle on the east coast of the Dominican Republic. Being almost rectangular in shape, this roadless lot contained approximately 10 seashore kilometers with numerous exotic white-sand beaches and thousands of coconut trees. In 1968, UNESCO declared these beaches as truly exceptional and globally unique for their fine white sand, crystalline waters and coral reefs.

PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB is the brainchild of Dominican businessman and hotelier Frank R. Rainieri and Theodore W. Kheel the prominent New York attorney and labor mediator. Both pioneers of Punta Cana tourism, their vision was to create a resort community that respects the natural habitat of PUNTACANA while offering visitors a world-class vacation experience. Co-developers of PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB are celebrities Julio Iglesias and Oscar de la Renta who have made PUNTACANA RESORT & CLUB their home.

Beach Casitas

Beautifully appointed two and three-bedroom casitas are located directly on the beach situated on a grove of our native coconut trees. Beach casitas have one bedroom with a king-size bed. All other bedrooms each have two full-size beds. For your privacy and comfort, each casita offers a common area composed of a living-dining room and a garden or terrace for you to enjoy with friends and family.

Nature Casitas

The two and three-bedroom Nature Casitas are nestled in our own private jungle each offering a bedroom with a king-size bed and bedrooms with two full-size beds. For your privacy and comfort, each casita offers a common area composed of a living-dining room and a garden or terrace.

Junior Suite Deluxe and Suite Deluxe

These ocean-view and garden-view accommodations feature deluxe rooms beautifully appointed with mahogany furniture. A Junior Suite Deluxe is a deluxe bedroom with a single queen size bed and a living room sharing the same floor.

A Suite Deluxe has a deluxe bedroom with a single king side bed on the top floor and a complete living area and second bathroom on the main floor.

Furnitures in Junior Suites and Suites Deluxe could be either in mahogany or rattan.

Deluxe Rooms

Located in three-story buildings with direct access to the beach, ocean-view, and garden-view. Rooms have two full-size beds or one king-size bed and a furnished balcony.

ANANÍ

Exquisite Dominican and international nouvelle cuisine. Casual clothing, Bermuda shorts are not allowed. Open every evening between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

COCOLOBA Decorated by our own Oscar de la Renta, the Cocoloba gourmet restaurant offers an elegant and casual environment where you can taste exotic plates from the Dominican nouvelle cuisine, accompanied by the finest wines on our menu. Elegant casual clothing and reservations are required. Open from Tuesday to Sunday between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

EL GRILL The combination of our gorgeous golf course with a white sand beach and picturesque blue sea make this the perfect place to enjoy a succulent steak or cheese sandwich as you admire the beautiful ambience. Should you desire something lighter, you may choose from a variety of foods offered. The restaurant is located in the Golf Clubhouse.

LA CHOZA (BEACHSIDE BARBECUE) This beachfront location provides a charming setting for you to enjoy a great variety of plates including fresh seafood, the catch of the day, and delicious sandwiches in an informal ambiance. Open daily from 12:00 am. to 4:00 p.m.

MAMMA VENEZIA This romantic Italian restaurant offers traditional Italian food as well as a nightly evening special. Reservations are required and can be made through your villa manager or our concierge at Ext. 7222/3. Casual clothing allowed, though Bermuda shorts are not.

BAMBOO This restaurant was decorated by the famous designer Oscar de la Renta, who created a cozy, sober and elegant atmosphere. We offer Continental Breakfast beginning at 6:30 a.m. and Breakfast a la Carte from 7:00 a.m. onward. We will offer a cold buffet and a select menu of hot dishes, served a la minute.

For lunch we offer healthy plates, which can be enjoyed in the Restaurant or next to the swimming pool between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Between the hours of 5:00pm and 6:00pm you will be able to enjoy a select variety of gourmet coffees as well as an excellent variety of teas. For supper, in addition to a select variety of International dishes, you may choose from a selection of Caribbean/Asian delicacies focusing on a balanced and varied gastronomy.

Supper will be served between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

FRANCO'S PIZZERIA

Open from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. It is located at the Resort's pool area.

LA CANA The Resort's main restaurant, serving grand buffets for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast begins at 6:30 a.m. through 10:30 a.m. and supper between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

LA YOLA This Caribbean restaurant's specialty is Mediterranean cuisine and seafood. La Yola, as the name indicates, is modeled after a fisherman's boat and is located over the sea at the PUNTACANA Marina area. Open from Wednesday to Monday between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. for lunch and between 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. for supper.
